Newly crowned British cruiserweight champion Viddal Riley is eyeing a shot at the European title in his next fight.
Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing about the possibility of fighting Leonardo Mosquea for the European title next, Riley said:
That would be a great fight, I am very open to that fight.
"That would be brilliant, but in this game I hate setting my mind in concrete about what's happening next because you then have to reverse your mind if it doesn't happen.
"I just want to make sure I at least defend my belt, and if I'm not defending it I'm still heading upwards."
27-year-old Riley claimed the British cruiserweight title with victory over compatriot Cheavon Clarke on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April.
Formerly the boxing trainer of YouTube star KSI, Riley produced a slick display against Clarke to see his hand raised via unanimous decision.
A potential fight against European titlist Mosquea would see Riley go up against a fellow undefeated boxer.
Hailing from France, Mosquea's latest outing saw him also get the better of Clarke, although via a narrower margin than Riley - prevailing via split decision.
Regarding a potential meeting with domestic rival Isaac Chamberlain, who pulled out of a fight between the pair back in January 2024, Riley seems unconvinced.
"I'm not fighting Isaac unless I'm heavily compensated, because he's bringing nothing to the table," Riley said.
Riley's triumph over Clarke at the home of his boyhood football club Tottenham has propelled him into the top 15 of the WBC and IBF cruiserweight rankings as he continues to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a world champion.
