Previously known as the trainer of internet sensations KSI, Viddal Riley is now focusing on his own professional boxing career with a fight for the British cruiserweight title on the horizon.
Riley is yet to lose in his boxing career, boasting a 12-0 record following his most recent TKO victory against Dan Garber.
Despite having previously received criticism for the level of opponent he is facing, Riley’s next fight against Cheavon Clarke could prove challenging on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn.
Riley spoke to talkSPORT ahead of his fight against Clarke.
He said: “I just feel ready to go man, you know you spend so many weeks just drilling and repeating, getting yourself ready for the occasion and now the occasion is close you just want to seize the opportunity.
When asked what problems Clarke may pose to Riley, he responded:
I’m open-minded to any of the problems and it’s going to be a tough challenge.
“He’s British champion for a reason. He’s ranked where he’s ranked in the world for a reason. He’s got a solid amateur pedigree, a solid professional career thus far.
“Even the defeat he had in his last fight was close. I personally thought that he won the fight so I’m just open-minded to any challenges. I know I’ve prepared for anything that he brings and that I can overcome it.”
Riley is also known to be a Tottenham Hotspur fan, adding: “Fighting at Spurs was on the bucket list. It’s not something that I thought was going to happen as soon as it has but all I can do is be grateful for that, make the most of it and hopefully bring some victory to the stadium on Saturday.”
