8-0 (2 KOs)
Solomon Dacres has picked up eight wins in as many fights after making his debut with a win on points in a six-round contest with Mladen Manev in Manchester in May of 2021.
The Real Deal claimed a first stoppage in his second bout against Alvaro Terrero before taking on the experienced Kamil Sokolowski in just his third fight, winning that eight-round bout on points.
Dacres then secured wins over two fighters with winning records, Kevin Nicolas Espindola and Ariel Esteban Bracamonte, before challenging for the vacant English title in his sixth professional outing.
The 30-year-old stopped the previously unbeaten Robert Ismay in the second round to land the regional belt. Dacres has since secured an eye-catching win over South African southpaw Chris Thompson and defended his English title against Michael Webster, who went into the bout with a 9-0 record.
12-1 (11 KOs)
David Adeleye is on the comeback trail as he is fighting for the first time since his unbeaten record was brought to an end by Fabio Wardley in Saudi Arabia.
Adeleye made his debut in 2019 as he claimed a first round stoppage victory over journeyman Dmitrij Kalinovskij.
The Londoner quickly established himself as a knockout specialist, with each of his first five wins coming inside the first three rounds. Adeleye was taken the full six rounds by durable Polish fighter Kamil Sokolowski in April of 2021, before recording four more KO wins.
That 10-fight winning run saw Big D earn a shot at the vacant WBO European crown and he won that title in spectacular fashion. Adeleye floored the unbeaten Ukrainian Dmytro Bezus in the first round and won by TKO in the second to pick up his first belt.
The 27-year-old defended his European title with a fifth round win over Emir Ahmatovic, before coming up against Wardley.
Adeleye was challenging for the British and Commonwealth straps against Wardley but he came up short as he was stopped in the seventh by a left hook, and he will be looking to begin his rebuild by taking Dacres’ English title.
David Adeleye is the favourite at 4/9 in the bout betting, while Solomon Dacres is the 7/4 underdog.
