Kell Brook retired from professional boxing following his TKO victory against Amir Khan in February 2022, though he has refused to rule out a return to the profession.
Brook boasted an impressive 40-3 record during his professional boxing career, kicked off with a points win against Peter Buckley in 2004.
Despite retiring in 2022, there have been murmurs that the former IBF welterweight champion could make a sensational return to the ring if the opportunity presented itself.
When attending the Matchroom Boxing event in Sheffield on Saturday 19th April, Brook was questioned by iFL TV on whether or not the boxing chapter of his career was closed.
He said: “It’s always in my heart you know, it’s always in my heart. I’ve always got my eye looking.
I’ll be looking next week at Eubank and Benn. Like I say, it’s hard to walk away and if that fight came to me I’d still be interested.
“I’m not in any rush, you know, I’m enjoying my life.”
When asked for his prediction for the Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn contest, he added: “It’s a good fight you know. I think the weight is a big thing.
“I’ve got a feeling with Eubank in this fight just because of the size and the long arms and he’s been at a higher level than Conor. Conor’s not got to that level yet but it’s a big fight - it’s a good fight.
I lean towards Eubank in this fight.
He was further asked if he would step in the ring with the winner of Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn, responding: “I’d do it. I’d come back. One more, one more.”
If Brook was to make a shock return to the ring, it would be just his fourth bout since February 2020, even admitting he's just returned to the ring having "not trained for three years."
