Justis Huni announced as Jarrell Miller replacement for Fabio Wardley fight

Australian Justis Huni has been announced as the new opponent to face Fabio Wardley at Portman Road on 7th June after Jarrell Miller pulled out due to injury.

30-year-old British heavyweight Wardley was originally meant to face Jarrell Miller at his dream venue of the home of his boyhood football club Ipswich Town of Portman Road, before his American adversary pulled out with a shoulder injury.

Huni has now been confirmed as his new opponent, with the Australian boasting an undefeated professional record of 12-0.

This newly arranged meeting of Wardley and Huni will see two unbeaten fighters come together, with the victor lined up for a shot at the WBA 'regular' heavyweight belt currently held by Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev.

A bronze medalist at the 2019 World Championships, Huni prevailed by TKO in the second round of his most recent contest against South African Shaun Potgieter in January 2025.

Hailing from Queensland, Australia, 6ft 4ins Huni will face the biggest challenge of his professional career yet when he takes on Great Britain's Wardley.

A boxer with a white-collar background, Wardley currently holds the British, Commonwealth and WBA Continental heavyweight titles.

Wardley's most recent outing saw him score a brutal first round knockout in a rematch against domestic rival Frazer Clarke in October 2024 after the pair's original clash in March 2024 ended in a draw.

The Ipswich-born fighter will hope he can prove too much for challenger Huni at Portman Road as he continues his ascent towards the world title picture in the heavyweight ranks.
