Frank Warren suggests Moses Itauma could get a shot at Oleksandr Usyk by the end of 2025

While Oleksandr Usyk is expected to step in the ring with Daniel Dubois in his next bout, Frank Warren has suggested that Moses Itauma could get a shot at the Ukrainian sooner rather than later.

It seems Dubois is the chosen one in regards to a shot at the formidable Oleksandr Usyk, and it's hard to argue against it given his recent success, emerging victorious in an all-British contest against Anthony Joshua in his last fight.

Tyson Fury has had his chance against Usyk, twice, and Dubois will aim for a different result the second time round, but where does 20-year-old superstar Itauma stand in the pecking order?

Well, Queensbury founder and promoter Frank Warren has had his say.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Warren said: "His (Itauma) last fight was a phenomenal performance. He was briefly in the ring but it's not just the knockout, it's how you do it.

"I think [Itauma] could fight for a world title this year. Who knows? He may fight him [Usyk] this year. Anything's possible.

"We've got to see what happens but the thing is with Moses, I think within another fight or two he's quite capable of being in exactly the same company as all these guys. He can be up there will all of them."

To be involved in these conversations at such an early stage of his career is impressive enough for Itauma, but it's clear to see why he is.

Nine of his 11 victories at professional level have come via KO, and when a fighter possesses that much power in the heavyweight division, along with impressive timing and footwork, he simply can't be ruled out, even against Usyk.

Itauma has previously said that he has a "better skillset" than Usyk, but confessed that in the "later rounds, he would outdo me because I've never been in that sort of fight."
