Chris Eubank Jr is set to be fined £375k after missing weight twice ahead of his fight against Conor Benn at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Eubank Jr tipped the scales at 160,2lbs at his first attempt and 160.05lbs on his second attempt, meaning he has missed the authorised weight limit for his bout against Benn of 160 lbs.
The 35-year-old's failure to make weight will trigger a clause in the fight contract which will see him fined a total of $500,000 (£375,000).
Eubank Jr is also required to weigh in at under 170lbs at 08:00 BST tomorrow morning or face a further penalty.
'The Destroyer' Benn weighed in at 156.4lbs, with the televised ceremonial weigh-ins to begin at 18:00 BST this evening.
Speaking at the final press conference ahead of the seismic event, Eubank Jr told onlookers that weight will not be a relevant factor in his contest with Benn:
This fight is not about size or weight. It's about skill, it's about dedication, it's about expertise, and all those areas I excel in and have got many many more years of experience over Conor Benn - and that will be the deciding factor on the night.
Eubank Jr and Benn will settle a family feud of over 30 years when they lock horns in front of a sold out Tottenham Hotspur Arena on Saturday night, 35 years on since their fathers Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn first went to battle in Birmingham in November 1990.
The rivalry between Eubank Jr and Benn has been amplified after the original scheduled meeting between the pair in October 2022 was cancelled after Benn tested positive for a prohibited substance.
This has prompted an exhilarating build-up to the rescheduled bout, with Eubank Jr infamously crashing an egg against Benn's face at a press conference in February in a nod to the WBC's ruling that Benn's positive doping test was a result of an 'elevated consumption of eggs'.
Eubank Jr has a professional boxing record of 34-3, with Benn boasting an undefeated record of 23-0.
