Arguably one of the most anticipated fights in British boxing history, long-term rivals Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn get set to step in the ring on Saturday 26th April 2025.
While both fighters are set to put their legacy on the line, Benn will also be aiming to protect his unbeaten record.
Eubank Jr has lost on two occasions, to George Groves and Liam Smith, but he has bounced back in fine fashion and will be confident that he can emerge victorious in arguably the biggest fight of his life.
Benn signed with promotional company Matchroom in April 2016, and Eddie Hearn, chairman of Matchroom, has been at the forefront of discussion surrounding the fight.
When conducting an interview with Boxing UK, Hearn was asked for his pre-fight predictions, appearing optimistic that Benn will get the job done at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He said: “Despite Eubank constantly having a go at me, I respect him as a fighter in the sense that this is going to be a great fight.
“We also understand the risk for Conor Benn. He’s jumping up two divisions to fight a much bigger man and it’s a dangerous fight, and a tough fight as well.
But it’s a fight I believe he (Conor Benn) wins and I believe he wins by stoppage
“I can see, call it belief, call it delusion or call it someone that watches boxing and has done for over 30 years, I can see him knocking (Eubank) Jr out inside six rounds.
“He has had the camp of dreams. He has sparred phenomenally well against bigger men than Eubank and world class fighters.”
It will be a night loaded with emotion, but which of the two can remain cool-headed, yet imposing, in a legacy defining bout?
