Daniel Dubois has claimed that he is ready to deliver the 'greatest victory in boxing' against Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday 19th July 2025.
No fighter has been able to stop the invincible Oleksandr Usyk up to now, including Daniel Dubois, who had his first bite at the cherry in August 2023.
Since that contest, Usyk has gone on to defeat Tyson Fury on two separate occasions, while Dubois has triumphed against Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua.
A rematch between the pair is well poised, and Dubois will be out to cause an upset at Wembley Stadium.
When speaking to talkSPORT, Dubois appeared full of confidence ahead of arguably the biggest fight of his career.
When questioned on his feelings regarding his controversial loss to Usyk the first time round, he responded: “I don’t think anything about it. It happened and I learned from that experience, but now I’m a different fighter.
I’m a different person now and I’m ready to get ready for the greatest victory in boxing.
Dubois suggested that he and his camp had learnt from the first fight with the undisputed heavyweight champion, stating: “We got a lot of tactics right, but some things were missing so I have an idea already. It’s in my head, I know what I’ve got to do.”
Dynamite will fight at London’s Wembley Stadium for a second consecutive time, having beat Joshua in the arena back in September. He believes a return to the stadium could provide him a psychological advantage heading into July’s bout.
“I’m happy to do it again. Happy to repeat the whole thing again, the scenario, before the fight, the ring walk, everything.”
While nothing has seemingly phased Usyk throughout his professional boxing career, it will be his first fight in England’s biggest stadium, commonly home to 90,000 spectators.
Will Usyk’s tranquility remain, or will Dubois' pre-fight conviction materialize in the ring?
