Daniel Dubois teases future Tyson Fury clash

Daniel Dubois has teased a potential future meeting with Tyson Fury with the 'Gypsy King' believed to be primed for a return to the ring.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Dubois said:

I think he [Tyson Fury] is definitely going to come back. When I beat Usyk I can fight him next, who knows? There are so many great heavyweights at the moment.

IBF heavyweight world champion Dubois will next face Ukraine's Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed clash at Wembley Stadium in London on July 19th 2025.

This will mark the second meeting between Dubois and Usyk, with the Ukrainian stopping his British adversary in the ninth round of their controversial first contest in Wroclaw, Poland in August 2023.

Dubois dropped Usyk in the fifth round in this first fight, only for the referee to contentiously rule the telling punch as a low blow and give the Ukrainian almost four minutes to recover.

'Dynamite' Dubois and his team still feel aggrieved by this incident in the first fight and are determined to seek revenge in the Wembley rematch.

27-year-old Dubois will enter this meeting with Usyk in tremendous form having won three fights in a row against high calibre opposition in the form of Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and domestic rival Anthony Joshua.

Dubois' ability to dismantle Joshua and knock him out in the fifth round at Wembley in September 2024 was particularly impressive and signalled a coming-of-age moment for the Londoner.

Usyk is unlikely to be short of confidence himself either, with the southpaw pound-for-pound star coming into this rematch with Dubois having beaten Tyson Fury back-to-back in his last two contests.

Following his second defeat to Usyk, 'The Gypsy King' Fury announced his retirement from professional boxing in February 2025.

This is not the first time Fury has made such a public declaration and made a U-turn, however, with Dubois confident his compatriot will once again be back and eyeing a potential bout against the 6ft 9 ins giant.
