16-0 (12 KOs)
Rising British star Smith is undefeated in 16 fights, winning 12 of them by knockout.
Smith made his professional debut in May 2019 when he beat Luka Leskovic on points in Nottingham and further victories over Ibrar Riyaz, Marko Radenovic and Michael Carrero swiftly followed that year.
He continued to make rapid progress and in May 2021 beat Lee Appleyard to secure the vacant English light-welterweight title, before further victories over Brian Pelaez for the WBA Inter-Continental light-welterweight title and Ray Moylette for the WBC International Silver light-welterweight title followed.
Smith's six-round stoppage of Sam O'maison in Sheffield in August 2022 landed him the British light-welterweight title, which he then successfully defended against Kaisee Benjamin and Billy Allington.
The 27-year-old retained the British light-welterweight title and won the Commonwealth light-welterweight title when overcoming Sam Maxwell last July and was last seen in the ring in March when knocking out Jose Zepeda, again in Sheffield, to win the vacant WBC Silver light-welterweight title.
26-3 (22 KOs)
Fernandez has won 26 of his 29 fights, 22 by way of knockout, and has suffered three defeats in his pro career.
The 28-year-old's first victory came in 2015 when he defeated Sidney Cortes and he followed that success up with 15 consecutive wins before losing for the first time in September 2018 to American fighter O'Shaquie Foster.
Fernandez responded to that setback with five wins on the bounce, which included a first-round knockout of Your Eronen in summer 2019, but he lost for the second time in his career two years later when Michel Rivera got the better of him in California.
Victories in the second half of 2022 over Hermin Isava and Jose Bold earned him a fight against Samuel Molina in December of that year but he was beaten by his fellow Spaniard, this time by unanimous decision.
Fernandez has since reeled off three straight wins over Petr Petrov, Andy Colquhoun and, in his most recent outing, Jezreel Corrales, who he beat by unanimous decision in March.
Smith is the favourite to win the fight at 2/9, with Fernandez priced at 10/3.
The undercard for the fight has yet to be confirmed.
