Chris Eubank Jr says the 'possibilities are endless' as he considers which fight to take next following his sensational victory over Conor Benn.
35-year-old Eubank Jr delivered an outstanding performance as he and adversary Benn shared an epic battle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 26th April, with the Brighton native having his hand raised via unanimous decision.
Eubank Jr's stock in the sport is now at an all-time high as he weighs up his next move, with a contracted rematch against Benn one option he has on the table.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Eubank Jr said:
Boxing is a very beautiful industry where anything can happen. The possibilities are endless. If the rematch is meant to be, it will be.
Reports suggest a rematch between Eubank Jr and Benn is contracted for September 2025 at the same venue as the original bout of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
There are concerns regarding Eubank Jr's ability to cut his weight back down to 160 lbs again, with 'Next Gen' forced to pay a fine of £375,000 after narrowly missing this weight limit ahead of his 26th April meeting with Benn.
Should Eubank Jr opt to fight on at a more comfortable weight, a clash with pound-for-pound megastar Canelo Alvarez has also been mentioned as a possibility.
"He [Canelo] is an opponent I've been looking at for many years now, and the fans would love to see that, so 100% that's a name in my line of sight," Eubank Jr told Sky Sports.
34-year-old Mexican boxer Canelo is currently placed seventh in The Ring Magazine's pound-for-pound rankings.
A four-weight world champion, Canelo will vie for undisputed status in the super-middleweight division in his next fight against Cuban William Scull on Saturday 3rd May 2025.
Should Canelo, as expected, get past Scull, the Mexican is reportedly primed to take on another pound-for-pound great in the form of American Terence 'Bud' Crawford in a mammoth fight in September.
