Bournemouth surpassed their record points total in a Premier League campaign with a goalless draw at Crystal Palace.
Saturday's stalemate at Selhurst Park means the Cherries have gone past last season's record haul of 48 points with five games remaining.
Bournemouth sit in a respectable eighth place and still harbour hopes of bringing European football to the South Coast next season.
Boss Andoni Iraola has now therefore overseen Bournemouth's two best Premier League seasons in history and some believe the Cherries may find it tough to keep hold of the 42-year-old.
Iraola's current contract runs to the end of the 2025/26 season and the deal, which he signed in May last year, is rumoured to include a £10m release clause.
It is understood Owner Bill Foley is due to attend next weekend's game at home to Manchester United and will discuss the future of his manager, following recent reports linking the Spaniard with potential moves to Tottenham and Real Madrid.
