Borussia Dortmund Champions League Odds: Bundesliga outfit 5/2 to seal European crown

Borussia Dortmund are 5/2 to win the Champions League after booking their place in the final with a 2-0 aggregate victory over PSG.

Veteran defender Mats Hummels, who was a key figure of the Dortmund side that last reached the final in 2013, scored the goal that ensured their progression from a fascinating semi-final tie.

Edin Terzic's side are lagging behind in the Bundesliga as they currently occupy fifth in the standings, but Die Borussen now have a chance to round off their season in glorious fashion with success in Europe's elite club competition.

PSG were the favourites to progress ahead of the semi-final clash but Dortmund relished the underdog tag.

Niclas Fullkrug's first half goal proved to be the difference in the first leg as Dortmund utilised their home advantage to full effect to take a one-goal lead over to Paris. Jadon Sancho was the star of the show at the Westfalenstadion, leaving fans purring with a fine individual performance.

In the second leg, the onus was on PSG to find a route back into the match but whatever path they plotted, they were stopped in their tracks by a yellow wall.

The resilient partnership of Hummels and Nico Schlotterback set the example and though PSG managed to fashion 30 attempts at goal on the night, only five of them were on the target.

Hummels landed the sucker punch early in the second half as the 35-year-old rose highest to head past Gianluigi Donnarumma to give Dortmund a two-goal cushion and send the German giants to Wembley.

Dortmund will face the winner of Wednesday's fixture between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, with the tie finely poised after a 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Allianz Arena.

14-time winners Real Madrid remain the favourites to win the Champions League at 10/11 and Bayern are 3/1 to seal their first success in the competition since 2020.

An all-German final, which would be a repeat of the last occasion Wembley hosted the Champions League showpiece, is priced at 7/4.
