BMW PGA Championship: Andy Murray to play with Robert MacIntyre in Pro-Am

Andy Murray has been confirmed to play alongside fellow Scot Robert MacIntyre in the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am at Wentworth.

Taking place the Wednesday before the tournament starts, a host of non-golfing stars will head onto the course to line up alongside some of the best the DP World Tour has to offer.

Joining MacIntyre and Murray, who plays off 7, are Jimmy Anderson (1.8) and Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke (1).

Rory McIlroy will tee it up alongside Gareth Bale - a scratch golfer - and Stuart Broad (6.4), with Tommy Fleetwood lining up with brothers Tom (2.9), Sam and Harry Holland.

Ex-footballer Jay Bothroyd goes out with last year's winner Ryan Fox, while Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald plays with Ben Stokes (3.6) and former rugby league star Jon Wilkin (8.8)

Englishman Matt Wallace will play alongside Olympian Tom Dean, Robbie Fowler (7.2) and Jordan Pickford (9.9).

2018 Ryder Cup winner Alex Noren will tee it up with Ben Foster (8), Kevin Pietersen (2) and Troy Deeney (12), while the final group of the day sees Thriston Lawrence go out with comedian Michael MacIntyre (18) and TV presenter Dan Walker, who's a plus handicap at +1.2.

McIlroy makes his return to Wentworth for this year's BMW PGA Championship, with Justin Rose, Shane Lowry, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood and Adam Scott also confirmed to start, alongside Ryder Cup players Nicolai Hojgaard and Sepp Straka.
