Blackburn Rovers target has Premier League ambition

Daniel Jebbison has revealed that he wants to stay and fight for his place at Bournemouth this season.

Jebbison was on the scoresheet as Bournemouth picked up a 4-1 victory over German side St Pauli in a pre-season fixture on Friday.

The match was Marco Rose's first opportunity to see his new players in action.

It remains to be seen whether Jebbison will fit into Rose's plans for this season and there are a number of attacking options who are arguably ahead of him in the pecking order.

However, Jebbison has said that he wants to stay with the club in an interview with the Bournemouth Echo after the match.

"My ambitions are to stay here, play and help the team as much as I can, whether it's off the pitch, on the pitch," said Jebbison.

"I'm just here, I want to be here. I'm just excited and I'm taking it day by day."

Championship

Jebbison spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Championship outfit Preston North End, where he scored six goals in 40 appearances across all competitions.

The 22-year-old has scored just three goals in 21 outings for Bournemouth since arriving from Sheffield United in 2024 and he has struggled to find his feet consistently in front of goal.

The Canadian striker was also left out of Jesse Marsch's squad for the 2026 World Cup following an underwhelming goalscoring campaign at Preston.

Blackburn are looking for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season and they may still be tempted to try and sign the player.
