Bettor Get It On cruised to a comfortable all-the-way win in the Cowden Ltd Empress Stakes to earn trainer Justin Prentice his fourth success in the Group 2 feature race at Gloucester Park.
The New Zealand-bred star had his work cut out heading in to the race as Savvy Bromac was the hot fancy, but with star reinsman Gary Hall jnr in the sulky they got the job done with relative ease.
Bettor Get It On rated 1.57.6secs over the 2536m course to see off Savvy Bromac by just over a length to give Hall his third win in the race.
A big outsider, My Prayer ran a great race when finishing fast from the back of the field to finish third. Three lengths behind Savvy Bromac in second.

Chris Lewis, who was looking for his ninth win in the Empress Stakes, battled all the way with Savvy Bromac but came up just short on this occasion.
It made a change for Bettor Get It On who has picked up eight second places in her 21 starts since arriving in Western Australia.
But on this occasion the five-year-old made the most of the prized no.1 barrier draw.
“She made up for all those seconds,” said Hall. “In most of those seconds Bettor Get It On had drawn outside the main danger, and tonight nothing really attacked us.
“She won pretty comfortably. Savvy Bromac, from the one-one position was the worry, so I got going about the 600m to try to flush her out and get her out of her comfort zone. I didn’t expect that we were able to hold her out as easily as we did.”
