bet365 Live in France

bet365, one of the world's leading online sports betting operators, has announced the launch of its offering in France, licensed by the Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ) and now available via bet365.fr and the bet365 mobile app.

Founded twenty-five years ago, the brand serves more than 120 million customers worldwide across regulated markets in Europe, the Americas and Oceania.

Its arrival in France comes amid an exceptionally busy sporting calendar, headlined by Roland-Garros, the UEFA Champions League Final (of which bet365 is an Official Global Partner), the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the Tour de France. With this launch, bet365 aims to enhance these major competitions by bringing increased innovation, wide ranging customer choice and a premium customer experience to French sports fans.

Alex Sefton, bet365’s global chief marketing officer, said: “bet365’s expansion strategy has always been built around combining the scale, technology, innovation and expertise of a global brand with the understanding and appreciation of local customs and culture. Our arrival in France will be no different. We’re thrilled to create a product and experience tailored specifically for French players, within a framework fully compliant with the requirements of the French National Gaming Authority.”

A world class experience for French sports fans

Bet Builder allows customers to build their own accumulator within a single match by combining, for example, the match winner, the total number of goals and a named goalscorer. Available across 16 sports, it offers the widest range currently available on the market.

Cash Out lets customers settle all or part of their bet before the end of the match.

Sub On Play On, a recent addition to the French market, keeps player bets alive even when the player is substituted during the match. This feature, along with Bet Builder, now extends to extra-time in knockout ties.

Bet Tracker and Match Live round out the experience, allowing customers to follow their open bets and the progress of each match at a glance, backed by live statistics.

Together, these tools bring a new depth to the online sports experience and put customers in a more active role, free to personalise their bets, follow matches in real time and adjust their choices as the game unfolds.

A global operator, now established in the French market

Founded in 2000 in the United Kingdom, bet365 has established itself as one of the world's leading online betting operators, serving millions of customers in regulated markets across Europe, North America, South America and Oceania.

Marking a significant milestone in their continued international expansion strategy, bet365’s approach is tailored to local requirements: ANJ licensing, compliance with the French regulatory framework, and a product designed for the local market.

Responsible gambling at the heart of the French offering

bet365’s commitment to responsible gambling is one of the key foundations of its operations in France. In addition to the measures required under applicable regulations — such as gambling controls, self-exclusion mechanisms and voluntary gambling bans — bet365 has, for several years, developed its own tools aimed at preventing excessive gambling. Its Early Risk Detection System (ERDS) notably enables the monitoring of player activity in order to identify behaviours that may indicate exposure to a risk of excessive gambling.

Furthermore, bet365 has entered into a partnership with ARPEJ – Association de Recherche et de Prévention des Excès du Jeu – in order to provide more effective support to players displaying signs of problematic gambling behaviour. Reaffirming this commitment to responsible gambling and regulatory compliance is fully aligned with bet365’s global approach, in which integrity and player protection remain at the heart of all operations.

Availability

The bet365 offering is available in France via bet365.fr. and iOS and Android apps.

bet365 plans to progressively expand its offering in France to include online poker and horse-race betting. These products will be the subject of a dedicated announcement at the time of their launch.
