Bath Rugby v Sale Sharks team news: Curry twins continue in unchanged back row

Bath Rugby host Sale Sharks in the Prem on Saturday afternoon, with both sides looking to bounce back from derby weekend defeats last time out.

The hosts were dismal in their Prem Rugby defeat at high-flying Gloucester, compounded by the ACL injury sustained by former Cherry and White full back Santi Carreras.

For the visitors, a 17-3 away defeat at Newcastle gave their rivals their maiden win of the season and pushed Alex Sanderson into more pressure, following a poor couple of seasons at the CorpAcq stadium.

Both sides will be desperate to earn the win this weekend, to help turn their fortunes around this term.

Bath Rugby v Sale Sharks

The headline in the Bath Rugby squad is the return of back three duo Tom de Glanville and Henry Arundell, who join Joe Cokanasiga in the starting XV.

Ollie Lawrence and Max Ojomoh form the centre pairing, outside of Finn Russell and captain Ben Spencer, who make up the half back partnership.

Beno Obano, Dan Frost and Archie Griffin form the front row, while Will Jeanes joins Charlie Ewels in the second row, in front of a back row featuring Ted Hill, Miles Reid and Josh Bayliss.

Meanwhile, Sale have made five changes to their side who lost at Newcastle, with the Curry twins set to continue in an unchanged back row, alongside Christ Tshiunza.

Captain Ernst van Rhyn and Ben Bamber also keep their spots in the second row, while Nathan Jibulu and Asher Opoku-Fordjour come into the starting XV, alongside Nicky Smith.

Gus Warr comes into the side at nine, partnering George Ford at half back, while Alex Lozowski also returns to the side to join Joe Marchant in the centres. Tom O'Flaherty is the other change, entering the back three with Joe Carpenter and Tom Roebuck.
