The EuroLeague in basketball currently features 18 teams in total.

How do teams qualify for the EuroLeague?

12 of the 18 EuroLeague places are currently held by licensed clubs who hold long-term contracts with the organisation.

These 12 licensed clubs at the moment are:

• Anadolu Efes
• ASVEL
• Baskonia
• Bayern Munich
• FC Barcelona
• Fenerbahce
• Maccabi Tel Aviv
• Olimpia Milano
• Olympiacos
• Panathinaikos
• Real Madrid
• Zalgiris

The remaining six EuroLeague places are filled in the followings way:

• One club granted two-year wildcard entry
• Three clubs granted one-year wildcard entry
• The two finalists of EuroLeague's second-tier competition - the EuroCup.
