According to reports, Barnsley have rejected 'several bids' for star winger Reyes Cleary.
The 22-year-old winger during his debut campaign at Oakwell and rumours have been swirling all summer long regarding his long-term future with the Tykes.
Transfer correspondent Peter O'Rourke has reported that Barnsley have turned down a number of bids during the window that have failed to match their valuation.
"Understand Barnsley have received several bids for Reyes Cleary this summer in and around the region of £3m, but they have all been rejected because they don’t meet the club’s current valuation of the winger with just over two weeks left in the transfer window," O'Rourke posted on his X account.
A product of the West Brom academy, Cleary made his senior debut for his boyhood club in 2022 before enjoying loan stints at both Walsall and Hartlepool. He impressed during his time in the National League, scoring six times and registering two assists in 18 starts after making a January switch.
Going in search of regular minutes, he turned down the opportunity to sign a new deal at West Brom, instead leaving the Hawthorns to sign permanently for Barnsley.
Clearly proved himself to be one of the best attackers in League One last season; leading the division in assists alongside Ilmari Niskanen with 13.
Several sides have been linked with a move for the former England youth international, with Championship sides Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City both reportedly interested.
Daniel Stendel returns to the Oakwell hotseat this term and will be keen to keep hold of his star man if he is eyeing up a promotion push in 2026/27. Barnsley are 9/1 to make a second tier return and 4/1 to finish inside the playoff places.
