Solihull Moors can defy the league table and overcome a cruel schedule by at the very least avoiding defeat inside 90 minutes against Barnet for the third time this season.

Dean Brennan's Bees are 8/13 to take care of Solihull in 90 minutes and book a trip to Wembley on 5th May for the promotion final against either Bromley or Altrincham.

And it's easy to see why they are a short price, given they finished three places and 10 points better off than Solihull, while their only defeat on home soil since November was against champions Chesterfield.

Also in their favour is the fact that they have had a week's rest since signing off their league campaign with a 4-1 drubbing of Kidderminster, whereas Solihull were beating Halifax 4-2 on Wednesday night in their qualifier.

The Midlands club weren't best pleased with the Wednesday-Saturday schedule but they can use that to galvanise themselves for this assignment.

They are big-priced 15/4 shots but there is no telling whether Barnet can deal with the situation any better than they did against Boreham Wood last April.

And Solihull have already defied the odds once this season by drawing 1-1 at Barnet, a match in which they had just 27 percent possession, didn't win a single corner yet were seconds away from taking all three points before Gary Hooper equalised.

The rematch a month ago was much closer in terms of possession and shots and, crucially, in the scoreline, the contest ending 2-2.

It means the FA Trophy finalists have nothing to fear from Barnet, especially as they have finished the season on a run of five wins in six in all competitions.

They have lost only one of their last 12 away matches so should travel with confidence.

Both Teams to Score in Second Half - 7/4

This is a one-off tie for the right to go to Wembley so expect it to open up in the second half.

Both of these teams score plenty of goals, and also leak too many, a point Brennan made after last week's win over Kidderminster.

The Bees have scored 90 goals this term but conceded 60, more than either Woking or the Harriers. Solihull have scored 71 goals and conceded 62.

On Wednesday night, in their 4-2 success over Halifax, either team scored in the second half and both teams scoring in the second half looks a fair bet at 7/4 on Saturday.

Barnet's second halves have produced the grand total of 85 goals this term, while Solihull's have tallied 78.

There are going to be no backward steps with one of these sides quite possibly chasing the game so expect plenty of goalmouth action after the break.

Former Oxford United trainee Jack Stevens is enjoying a terrific end to a breakthrough season at Solihull and the Welshman might not be finished yet.

Stevens has scored nine league goals and seven in the cups in 2023/24 but it is since the turn of the year that he has really taken off with 10 goals.

The most recent of those were the winner in the 1-0 success over York last weekend and the second in Wednesday's 4-2 win over Halifax in their qualifying tie.

The 23-year-old livewire looks a nice price at 10/3 to score at any time at The Hive.
