Barcelona and Inter Milan provided a true UEFA Champions League classic in a semi-final first-leg tie that ended in a 3-3 draw.
It was a game befitting of the famous Camp Nou but Barcelona's temporary home of the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys was treated to a spectacle on Wednesday night.
Fans weren't made to wait long before the game exploded into life when Marcus Thuram produced a classy finish to put the visitors ahead.
Denzel Dumfries then doubled Inter's advantage with an acrobatic strike that was one part of a haul that included two goals and an assist on the night.
But soon after, Lamine Yamal exploded into life.
I don't think I have seen a 45 minutes like that from one individual before in my life. It is unbelievable.
The words of Ally McCoist on the Spanish phenom's first-half display.
His goal on the 24th minute was part of a performance that felt like the anointing of a superstar, so much so that he is now 6/4 favourite to win the Ballon d'Or.
Constantly doubled-up on throughout the game, there was seemingly nothing the Inter defence could do to ease the threat that he posed.
Raphinha provided the assist for the Barca equaliser, expertly picking out Ferran Torres who tapped home from close range before half-time.
It was a second half that started brightly for the away side with Denzel Dumfries again finding himself in the thick of it to head his side back into the lead.
The home side kept pressing, however, and a thunderous strike from Raphinha ricocheted off the back of Yann Sommer via the crossbar to level the scores yet again.
With the game ebbing towards a draw, Lamine Yamal went close again as the winger saw his audacious chip graze the woodwork late on.
3-3 is how it ended and all of the post-game attention turned to the performance of Yamal.
Lamine (Yamal) is the kind of talent that comes along every 50 years.
Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi was suitably impressed by what he had seen.
He continued, "To see him up close really impressed me. I'm really enthusiastic about what my lads did. They worked really hard against him, doubling and tripling up on him.
"At half-time, we changed a little. We had to mark Lamine Yamal even better - that guy really impacted on me tonight. He really did."
6th May is the date set for the return leg with the legendary San Siro hosting a fixture that can't come around fast enough.
