2025 Ballon d'Or Odds: Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe lead the betting odds

We take a look at the latest odds to win the Ballon d'Or in 2025 with Manchester City and Spain's Rodri claiming the award in 2024.

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr was widely expected to win the 2024 Ballon d'Or after his role in Real Madrid's La Liga and UEFA Champions League double, but Rodri was named the winner in October's ceremony.

Nevertheless, Vinicius Jr was installed as the early favourite for 2025 with Real Madrid expected to go close domestically and in Europe once again.

However, the blistering start to the season made by Mohamed Salah saw the Liverpool forward's odds shorten considerably. Liverpool are favourites to win the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, and should the Reds achieve both, it'll be hard to see past the Egyptian.

Kylian Mbappe's opening campaign at Real Madrid has seemingly gone under the radar, with him the new favourite and slightly shorter in the betting than Liverpool's 'Egyptian King', with Los Blancos leading the way in La Liga and likely to edge out Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.

bet365's Sports and Trading expert Steve Freeth said: "The reign of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is well and truly over as we head into a new era of players that could dominate for the next 10 years.

"Although Vinicius Jr was runner-up in 2024, he has plenty of time on his side, along with the likes of Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, but it may well be the 32-year-old Salah who beats them all to the 2025 award."
