The DP World Tour stays in the Middle East for the Bahrain Championship, which is the penultimate event in this region before the circuit shuts down for a week.
The first two tournaments of DP World Tour desert action have been won by Tyrrell Hatton, who triumphed in the Dubai Desert Classic, and Alejandro Del Rey, who landed a maiden title in the Ras Al Khaimah Championship last week.
The Bahrain Championship starts on Thursday morning, with the Qatar Masters taking place next week.
Patrick Reed is 14/1 for the Bahrain Championship, which takes place at Royal Golf Club, where Dylan Frittelli won the inaugural tournament 12 months ago.
Reed, a former Masters champion, won the Hong Kong Open on the Asian Tour at the end of November. Reed and David Puig are usually LIV Golf players but Puig is in the Bahrain field and the Spanish youngster can be backed at 16/1 for victory after he finished third in Ras Al Khaimah on Sunday.
Thorbjorn Olesen, who is eager to get back on the European Ryder Cup side, is 18/1 for Bahrain glory. The Dane finished 27th in Ras Al Khaimah last week, despite starting the event as clear favourite.
Laurie Canter to win and each-way - 18/1
The tee-to-green performance of Canter in the Dubai Desert Classic the week before last was hugely impressive, with powerful drives followed by pinpoint iron-shots.
The Bath man finished third and could be set to go even better on his return to action this week. Canter should be licking his lips at the Royal Golf Club layout, where the four par-fives and the two reachable par-fours appear at his mercy.
The windy forecast means the best ball-strikers should dominate and last year's European Open champion certainly fits into that category.
Canter was a key cog in Great Britain and Ireland's Team Cup success in Abu Dhabi at the start of the year, then followed up with a bold title tilt in Dubai, despite carrying a cold putter throughout.
Sam Bairstow to win and each-way - 35/1
The Challenge Tour proved a doddle for Sam Bairstow, who quickly won promotion to the main circuit, and the left-hander appears ready for a breakthrough victory.
Bairstow, who turned professional at the end of 2022, started his DP World Tour rookie campaign with form figures of 23-23-13 in the Middle East. He became a leaderboard regular, finishing third in the Singapore Classic, sixth in the ISCO Championship and second in the French Open.
Bairstow was 13 under par for his final 54 holes of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship last week, rocketing up to 16th place, and he may be peaking for Bahrain.
The forecast wind should be no problem for the Sheffield man, who proved himself in tough weather as an amateur.
Ugo Coussaud to win and each-way - 50/1
Power-packed Frenchman Ugo Coussaud was 10 under par for his final 54 holes in Ras Al Khaimah last week, sharing 16th place with Bairstow. Coussaud has a great record in desert events and can contend in the Gulf again this week.
Coussaud was runner-up in the UAE Challenge in 2023, before winning promotion to the DP World Tour. He started his rookie campaign with progressive form figures of 70-34-12-2 in the desert, contending in his first visit to Royal Golf Club.
Sixth place in the Abu Dhabi Championship last year was another eye-catching result in this region for Coussaud and the 32-year-old seems ready to claim some silverware.
