We’ve just the four Australian meetings this Monday with wet going the order of the day with two tracks currently soft and two heavy.
Information to break maiden
In the third at Warwick Angela Jones’ mount Pearls ‘N’ Pimms has plenty of experience placing four times from 12 career starts. Delivered a fifth place finish on a good 4 track in an Ipswich maiden at the end of last month and while looking up to performing well once more.
However the daughter of Spirit Of Boom’s form lags behind that of Toomuchinformation with the gelding having placed in stronger looking affairs in three of his four starts to date including when beaten by a narrow margin over this track and trip on a good 4 track here at the end of last month.
Unproven on a heavy 9 track the Graham Payne-trained contender has run well on a soft 6 before and is selected to get off the mark at the fifth time of asking.
Freddy for Warnnambool success
It’s Classified has placed on both starts this spell including when third over 1200m in a similar race to this on soft 5 going at Warracknabeal earlier this month. Had her jockey here Jarrod Fry on both for each of those placed efforts but looks opposable here given his lack of form on going described as heavy.
Drawn one off the rail Freddy Mac looks the one to side with having demonstrated good form on heavy tracks in the past winning or placed on three of his four starts on heavy going including when winning a Restricted 58 contest over this 1400m trip at Echuga on 25th June.
Raced from barrier ten on that occasion and while Maddi Price’s mount has raced prominently in the past he is a tactically versatile sort and is selected to record a second career win.
Negation to break maiden
Lady Fraulein and Negation are vying for favouritism ahead of the fourth at Goulburn. The first named, trained by the powerful Ciaron Maher and David Eustace partnership delivered a career best effort when runner-up over 1100m at Gosford last month.
Had previously finished fifth of six over this distance at Warwick Farm and while she gets an easier opportunity here preference is for her main market rival who has been set some tough tasks in her three starts to date.
Negation debuted with a solid seventh in the valuable Magic Millions Ballarat 2yo Classic over 1000m at Ballarat last November while the daughter of Hellbent tackled the tough Magic Millions 2yo Classic at Wyong the following month on her second and final start of her first spell.
Excuses when starting awkwardly and racing from off the pace in a race dominated by those who featured prominently in an 1150m maiden on a soft 6 track at Kensington at the end of June. Expected to have improved for that effort and can provide jockey Andrew Adkins with a victory.
