We have priced up 2023 Horse of the Year Auguste Rodin at 5/2 to win the Dubai Sheema Classic on Saturday.
It will be the first outing of 2024 for Aidan O'Brien's four-year-old after a stellar 2023 campaign that saw Auguste Rodin become the first Flat winner of the Horse of the Year award since Alpha Centauri in 2018.
Auguste Rodin started last season with an underwhelming performance in the 2000 Guineas but he bounced back in imperious fashion by claiming sublime victories in the Epsom Derby and the Irish equivalent at the Curragh a month later.
After Royal Ascot didn't go to plan, Auguste Rodin won the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown before heading stateside where he won the prestigious Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita in November.
Saturday will be the first trip to Meydan for the champion horse, in a race that was won by the mighty Equinox in 2023.
This year's renewal of the Dubai Sheema Classic features a strong field that includes the much-fancied Liberty Island and Coronation Cup winner Emily Upjohn.
