Atlanta FaZe have secured the top seed position for the first major of the 2022 Call Of Duty League season, concluding with a comfortable win over the New York Subliners.
In the CDL Major One, which starts in March, Atlanta FaZe can be backed at 1/20 to beat Boston Breach, who are 15/2 to win, in their first match.
FaZe dominated the Call Of Duty League in 2021, winning three of the five majors last year before claiming the world championship at the play-offs.
And they went into the new season with similar expectations, although they wobbled slightly in their first qualifying match with Paris Legion, who took them to five games.
Atlanta eventually prevailed and went on to win their other four matches to finish the Major One qualifiers with an eye-watering 5-0 record ahead of London Royal Ravens and Los Angeles Thieves in second and third respectively.

Tyler "aBeZy" Pharris turned on the style for Atalanta with a kill-death ratio of 1.18 in their last contest with New York Subliners, who finished the qualifiers with a 1-4 record.
The new format of the Call Of Duty League sees all 12 teams advance to the Majors, but the qualifying beforehand determines their seeding in the big tournaments.
Atlanta, for example, will now start the OpTic Texas Major One, which starts on March 3rd, against Boston Breach in round one.
FaZe will need to win only four matches to be crowned champions of the first major, with two rounds taking place before the winners final and then the major final.
As for a team like the Subliners, however, they must start in the elimination bracket due to their poor performance in qualifying, meaning they would have to record six straight wins to win the season's first major title.
Following their triump, Atlanta FaZe wrote on Twitter: "Undefeated Stage One. 5-0 going into Major One. #EZAF | #CDL2022."
