Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing highly-rated defender Andrea Natali from Bayer Leverkusen.
The 18-year-old centre-back has been backed as a star of the future and he has been capped by Italy at various age groups.
Bayer Leverkusen loaned the defender out to Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar last season, where he primarily appeared for the club's development team.
He has caught the eye of a number of teams throughout Europe, with On The Minute reporting that Aston Villa are keeping tabs on the player.
It is claimed that Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion, Napoli and Cagliari are also interested in a potential deal.
It looks likely that Natali will leave Germany this summer and the player will want to secure the best path to first-team football.
Natali is a defender who is known for his ability to play out from the back and he appears to have a high ceiling.
Aston Villa are looking to recruit talented prospects who have a long-term sell-on value and Natali certainly ticks that box.
However, with reported interest from other teams in the Premier League and abroad, potential suitors may have to move quickly to secure his signature.
