Arsenal are reportedly pursuing a deal to sign Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz this summer.
Turkish-Football have claimed that the Gunners are now looking to negotiate a transfer following Turkey's elimination from the 2026 World Cup.
Arsenal are in contact with Juventus and have sent over a formal enquiry about the possibility of signing the player.
Yildiz is one of the brightest prospects in European football and amongst the most talented players throughout Serie A.
The 21-year-old has scored 27 goals in 131 matches across all competitions for Juventus and is likely to command a fee in excess of £85 million for the club to be open to a sale.
Yildiz has reached double figures in each of the last two seasons but there is the sense that there is far more to come from a player with a high ceiling.
He has the potential to be a talisman for years to come in Turin but Arsenal are keen to splash the necessary cash and it remains to be seen whether Juventus can afford to turn down a sizeable transfer fee.
Mikel Arteta's side secured the Premier League title and reached the UEFA Champions League final by implementing an efficient approach to their football last season.
They were defensively excellent but in order to sustain their success in the coming years, they are likely to require attacking reinforcements.
While Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres provide solid options up front and Bukayo Saka provides quality from the right, there is still a question mark on who can operate on the left of a front three.
Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Eberechi Eze were all rotated throughout the season but the potential addition of Yildiz would undoubtedly improve their options in that area of the pitch.
Yildiz can also operate as a number 10 in the event that Arteta opts to use the player more centrally, but the first step is to see if Juventus are happy to enter negotiations.
