Adam Catterall is backing Vitor Petrino to extend his unbeaten MMA record to 12-0 when taking on Anthony Smith at UFC 301.
Smith arguably came as close as anyone ever has to dethroning Jon Jones, when Jones landed an illegal knee to Smith in their 2019 title fight. Had Smith have deemed himself unable to continue, he would likely have been awarded the belt via disqualification, but Lionheart, true to his nickname, fought on to a unanimous decision defeat.
Like so many who've faced Jones, Smith has struggled in the aftermath of the loss, losing five of his last 10 fights, and Catterall believes the American's best days are behind him, with Pereira set to emerge victorious.
