Alexandre Pantoja makes his fourth UFC flyweight title defence when taking on former interim title contender Kai Kara-France at UFC 317.
Kara-France was beaten by Brandon Moreno to the interim title back in 2022 before losing to Amir Albazi 11 months later, but an excellent performance last August against Steve Erceg puts the New Zealander back in title contention.

Adam Catterall said: "The only thing going against Pantoja in this fight is age. He's getting to that stage now where you do start to slow down. I can't see Pantoja slowing down enough in this fight to not come out victorious.
"Kai Kara-France has got nothing to lose. He's got to throw the kitchen sink at it and he's got to hope that he lands on the chin of Pantoja. If we get to the end of the fight, I think Pantoja will have his hand raised. But there might be moments here where Kara-France can capitalise because Pantoja is sometimes a bit reckless on those entries."
