Gold Cup runner-up Gerri Colombe is set to go off as favourite for the Aintree Bowl on the opening day of the 2024 Grand National Festival.

Gerri Colombe was beaten by Galopin Des Champs in the main event at the Cheltenham Festival and Gordon Elliott will be confident that he can take the honours in the third Grade 1 of the day on Thursday.
Last year's Mildway winner leads a strong field that will look to emulate the likes of Silviniaco Conti, Cue Card and Clan Des Obeaux in winning the 3m1f race.
Other contenders include last year's winner Shishkin, who returns after a turbulent season which has included missing Cheltenham, and Bravemansgame who was second in the King George on Boxing Day.
The ever-popular Ahoy Senor is available at a double-figure price, while Corbetts Cross could challenge following a scintillating run in the National Hunt Cup.
