Geelong booked their spot in the preliminary finals with a comprehensive 138-54 victory over Port Adelaide in the qualifying final round, while Brisbane conquered Carlton and Greater Western Sydney to reach this stage of the competition.

Mark O'Connor's season has ended prematurely after undergoing wrist surgery.
Gary Rohan will be out of action after suffering a fractured skull, though the Cats are expecting Tom Stewart to make a return after he missed the qualifying final.
Lachie Neale, Jack Payne and Eric Hipwood are all expected to feature, while Bruce Reville suffered a minor hamstring strain in the VFL and is a doubt for the contest.
Carter Michael, Kalin Lane, Darcy Gardner, Lincoln McCarthy, Tom Doedee and Keidean Coleman are all sidelined.
