2027 MotoGP Grid: The complete rider line-up

There's been plenty of chopping and changing on the MotoGP grid ahead of the highly anticipated 2027 season where the sport undergoes a major technical overhaul.

At the start of 2026, only three riders had officially confirmed their seats for next year with Johann Zarco remaining at Castrol Honda LCR and Toprak Razgatlioglu entering the second campaign of his two-year deal with Pramac Yamaha.

Diogo Moreira's spot on the grid was also confirmed after signing a multi-year deal with Honda upon making the jump into the premier class.

The end of the current campaign will see Maverick Vinales, Alex Rins, Jack Miller, Brad Binder and Franco Morbidelli leave MotoGP and five rookies are primed to replace the quintet.

Here's everything you need to know about the 2027 MotoGP grid.

Ducati Lenovo Team

  • #93 Marc Marquez
  • #37 Pedro Acosta

Ducati announced in June that reigning world champion Marc Marquez had signed a two-year extension.

He will, however, have a new team-mate in the garage as Pedro Acosta makes the switch from KTM in a blockbuster partnership for 2027.

'The Shark' replaces Francesco Bagnaia at the factory Ducati team and has signed a contract until at least the end of the 2028 season.

Aprilia Racing

  • #72 Marco Bezzecchi
  • #63 Francesco Bagnaia

A day after the news broke that Bagnaia was being replaced by Acosta at Ducati, it was revealed the two-time world champion had penned a four-year contract with Aprilia.

Marco Bezzecchi is also tied down to a multi-year deal with the Noale manufacturer after agreeing terms ahead of testing in Sepang before the 2026 season - making him the the first factory rider to officially sign a deal for next year.

Monster Energy Yamaha

  • #89 Jorge Martin
  • #79 Ai Ogura

The vacancy for Bagnaia at Aprilia arose after 2024 world champion Jorge Martin made the switch to Yamaha.

The Spaniard will be accompanied by Japanese sensation Ai Ogura with the pair replacing Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins.

BK8 Gresini Racing

  • #36 Joan Mir
  • #96 Daniel Holgado

It's all change at Gresini after it was confirmed that Joan Mir and Dani Holgado will join in place of Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer.

Mir will be riding a 'factory' spec machine, while Holgado makes the step up from Moto2 where he's competed in the previous two seasons.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing

  • #73 Alex Marquez
  • #49 Fabio Di Giannantonio

Red Bull KTM have also undergone a makeover with Alex Marquez returning to factory status for the first time since leaving Honda in 2022.

The 2025 runner-up will be accompanied by Fabio Di Giannantonio, who joins the Austrian manufacturer from the VR46 Racing Team.

Honda HRC Castrol

  • #20 Fabio Quartararo
  • #11 Diogo Moreira OR #80 David Alonso

The first day of the Sepang shakedown test was greeted with the news that Quartararo will join the Honda team from 2027.

While the Frenchman's team-mate is yet to be officially confirmed, it will be one of Diogo Moreira or recent HRC signing David Alonso, who will be one of the five rookies lining up on the grid next season.

Castrol Honda LCR

  • #5 Johann Zarco
  • #11 Diogo Moreira OR #80 David Alonso

While Moreira or Alonso are yet to learn which garage they will be in next season, they at least know they will be partnering a Frenchman.

Johann Zarco remains with Honda LCR for another season after signing a two-year extension in 2025.

SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team

  • #25 Raul Fernandez
  • #23 Enea Bastianini

Trackhouse Aprilia confirmed at the end of the summer break that Raul Fernandez had committed to extended terms which ties him down to the American team until the end of 2028.

The Spaniard will be partnered by another rider with race-winning pedigree in Enea Bastianini, who joins on a multi-year deal from KTM.

Red Bull KTM Tech3

  • #10 Luca Marini
  • #81 Senna Agius

Tech3 will race with KTM machinery from 2027 onwards and HRC's Luca Marini was confirmed as their first signing ahead of Aragon.

Also featuring in Gunther Steiner's revamped team is Moto2 star Senna Agius, who was revealed as the fifth and final rookie to be taking to the MotoGP grid in 2027.

VR46 Racing Team

  • #54 Fermin Aldeguer
  • #11 Nicolo Bulega

Contracted to Ducati until 2028, Fermin Aldeguer has made the switch from Gresini to the VR46 Racing Team.

Accompanying Aldeguer at the Italian team is WorldSBK star Nicolo Bulega, who follows in the footsteps of his former title rival Toprak Razgatlioglu by making the switch to MotoGP.

Bulega will be the only Italian rider on a Desmosedici in 2027.

Prima Pramac Yamaha

  • #7 Toprak Razgatlioglu
  • #28 Izan Guevara

Razgatlioglu is locked into a multi-year deal with Pramac and the Turkish ace will be hoping for greater fortune on the new 850cc bikes.

Joining him at Pramac is Moto2 graduate Izan Guevara, who makes the transition into MotoGP after four seasons in the second tier and replaces Jack Miller.
