The 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League game is live and you can start building your team ahead of Gameweek 1, which starts with Arsenal v Coventry on Friday 21st August.
Fitting £15.5m Erling Haaland, £12.0m Bruno Fernandes and £8.0m Gabriel into a squad feels like a tall order, but it's not an impossible task.
Below, we've put together an FPL team that includes the expensive trio, alongside Liverpool's 2025/26 Player of the Season, Chelsea's £117m addition and Everton's £70m-rated creator.
Goalkeeper
Antonin Kinsky - £4.5m (TOT)
Tottenham Hotspur have added quality to their back line with the additions of Marocs Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke and Andrew Robertson, and I expect Roberto De Zerbi's side to prove a more sturdy unit in the 2025/26 campaign.
Antonin Kinsky is set to be trusted in between the sticks -- with Guglielmo Vicario likely to depart -- and he represents the best value of the available £4.5m stoppers.
Defenders
Gabriel - £8.0m (ARS)
Gabriel recorded 209 points in the 2025/26 FPL season, the third highest all-time tally by a defender in a single campaign.
The Brazilian centre back is a certainty for clean sheets in a compact Arsenal back line, and his supreme goal threat only adds to his worth. He costs a pretty penny at £8.0m, but he's far and away the best defender in the game and can't be overlooked.
Cristhian Mosquera - £5.5m (ARS)
What's better than one Arsenal defender? Two.
Boasting one of the best Premier League defences that we have seen in recent years, it feels right to double up on the Gunners back line. William Saliba is set to miss the start of the season through injury, and so Cristhian Mosquera is expected to get the nod alongside Gabriel. At £5.5m, the Spaniard seems a shrewd pick before the reigning champions welcome newly-promoted Coventry City in GW1.
Issa Diop - £4.5m (IPS)
While Milan van Ewijk represents the best value of the newly-promoted defenders, he travels to the Emirates in the opening weekend and so new Ipswich Town addition Issa Diop makes the starting XI.
While clean sheets may come few and far between at Portman Road, the Moroccan has the potential to thrive in the defensive contributions department and cannot be faulted at £4.0m.
Midfielders
Bruno Fernandes - £12.0m (MUN)
Bruno Fernandes has been handed the joint-biggest price rise in FPL, climbing £3m in cost -- from £9.0m to £12.0m.
Mohamed Salah was nearly always the obvious premium choice in Fantasy -- irrespective of his price -- but his departure makes Manchester United's Portuguese maestro the clear selection, heading into 2026/27 after recording a record-breaking 21 assists in the 2025/26 season.
Dominik Szoboszlai - £7.0m (LIV)
Despite enjoying his best Liverpool season to date last term, Dominik Szoboszlai retains his £7.0m price tag for the 2026/27 campaign.
Assigned with both free kick and corner kick duties last season, the Hungarian could yet be tasked with taking penalty kicks following Salah's exit, adding to his value.
Iliman Ndiaye - £6.0m (EVE)
Iliman Ndiaye felt like a shrewd pickup at £6.5m last term, and so his £6.0m valuation feels even more enticing now.
While the Everton winger endured an inconsistent 2025/26 campaign -- which wasn't aided by his involvement in AFCON for Senegal -- his excellence is undeniable and he'll be out to prove why the Toffees value him at around £70m.
Morgan Rogers - £7.5m (CHE)
It's surprising that Morgan Rogers' price has only risen by £0.5m after yet another impressive season in the top-flight, where he was amongst FPL's highest-scoring midfielders.
He became the second most expensive signing in Premier League history when trading Aston Villa for Chelsea in a deal worth £117m, and he can thrive in a free-flowing Xabi Alonso system alongside club and international teammate Cole Palmer -- who comes in at £2m more expensive than Rogers in spite of recording less goal contributions last term.
Forwards
Erling Haaland - £15.5M (MCI)
Erling Haaland's involvement in this team really needs no explanation.
Scoring 22+ Premier League goals in all four seasons for Manchester City, there is no striker in the league more prolific than the Norwegian brute. A player of Haaland's quality won't be impeded by a managerial change, and he is a set and forget in your FPL team, even at £15.5M.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin - £6.0m (LEE)
It's baffling that Dominic Calvert-Lewin's price has only increased by £0.5m after an impressive debut season with Leeds United, but it's a huge gain for FPL managers who are having to resort to budget forward options to include Haaland, Fernandes and Gabriel.
The 2025/26 season marked his second most productive of all time on the goalscoring front, finding the net on 14 occasions in the top-flight. Leeds have a favourable fixture run to start the campaign, and Calvert-Lewin can reap the rewards.
William Osula - £6.0m (NEW)
There is a whole host of £6.0m forward options who look enticing -- including Danny Welbeck, Dominic Solanke and Igor Jesus -- but it's William Osula who boasts the most upside.
You may prefer to avoid the Newcastle forwards at the start of the campaign to assess who Eddie Howe selects as his starting number nine -- with Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa amongst the options -- but the early signs suggest that Osula will get the nod after concluding the 2025/26 Premier League campaign with six goals in nine games.
