1983 World Darts Champion Keith Deller MBE shares his best bets for the 2025 World Cup of Darts as Luke Humphries and Luke Littler bid to capture the coveted crown for England this weekend.

World number one Humphries and Michael Smith reigned supreme in the event 12 months ago, securing England a fifth World Cup of Darts triumph at the expense of surprise finalists Austria.

Now, it's the turn of Humphries and darting sensation Littler, but will they live up to their heavy pre-tournament favouritsm or will we see another nation upstage the two modern-day darting behemoths?

England - World Cup of Darts Winner @ 4/9

I know it doesn't represent great value, but it's nigh on impossible to look beyond a team that consists of the two best players on the planet right now, Luke Humphries and Luke Littler.

Of course, this will be the first time the two will have played together in competetive action, but I know they have put a lot of work in behind the scenes - they are taking this incredibly serious.

They are the overwhelming favourites and the pressure will be on, but they have proven so many times already that they thrive under the spotlight, and I fully expect them to be holding aloft the trophy this weekend.

The only one potential sticking point is the fact that they will likely be facing Wales or Scotland in the final - two nations who will fancy their chances of upsetting the odds.

Despite that though, England will still have a tad too much power for either of them to handle.

If you are looking for a bit more betting value then I'd be taking on Wales at 5/1, each-way.

Essentially that means you are taking on Gerwyn Price and Johnny Clayton at 5/2 to reach the final - something they are more than capable of.

Don't forget they actually won this competition a couple of years ago, so will toe the oche in Germany in confident mood - Price has especially been throwing beautifully over the past three or four months.

They are in the opposite half of the draw to England too, meaning they don't have to worry about Messrs Humphries and Littler until the final.

Anything can happen in the World Cup, we've seen upsets before, but, I have to admit, I'd be surprised if Wales aren't in contention come finals day.

Keith Deller's Group Stage Tips

France, Japan, USA & Australia To Win Groups @ 83/1

There's always plenty of value to be found in the group stages of the World Cup, and I've pieced together a four-fold group stage winner acca which pays out at a colossal 83/1.

I tend to keep away from the favourites as they carry little to no value in terms of topping their respective tables, so I've instead picked out four nations who I believe can go well in Frankfurt.

France are in an intriguing group along with Sweden and Lithuania, and there's very little to split the three, but the team of Thibault Tricole and Jacques Labre reached the knockout stages last year and I fancy them to do the same this time around.

I am also going with Japan to secure top spot in Group K ahead of Croatia, the United States to prevail in Group I, despite Hong Kong being the odds-on favourites, and finally Australia to reign supreme over Austria and Spain in Group H.
