Alex Palou will be looking to defend his IndyCar title for a third successive year following a memorable 2024 in which he joined an exclusive list of drivers to win three series crowns.
Palou claimed his maiden championship in 2021 before adding two more to his collection with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2023 and 2024.
One driver desperate to halt the Spaniard is Scott McLaughlin, with the Team Penske man leading the most laps last year whilst claiming the joint-most podiums (7) and joint-most wins (3) in the series.
Six-time champion Scott Dixon is perennially in contention for honours and the long-tenured New Zealander will be seeking an improvement on his sixth-placed finish in 2024.
Josef Newgarden became the first driver in over 20 years to win the Indianapolis 500 for two years running in what was otherwise a disappointing year for the Team Penske American, whilst other contenders include Will Power, Pato O'Ward and Colin Herta, with the latter achieving his career-best finish of second behind Palou.
