Reliever Daniel Zamora has signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers to a minor league contract.
Zamora had been with Mexican League side Toros de Tijuana for a couple of months before the Dodgers invited him to Spring Training.
The Dodgers are 6/1 to win the 2022 World Series and have added Zamora to their minor league roster for some appearances in Spring Training. He has appeared in three of the past four big league seasons.
Zamora was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 40th round of the 2015 MLB draft and ws playing for their affiliated teams until he was traded to the New York Mets for Josh Smoker in January 2018.
The 28-year-old began the season with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies of the Eastern League. The Mets then promoted him in August and he managed some productive game-time for the next two seasons.

He made 33 combined appearances with just under 18 innings pitched. He was assigned to the Mets alternate training site for the entirety of the shortened 2020 season. He got off to a dismal start last year with Triple-A Syracuse and the Mets designated him for assignment in May.
The Seattle Mariners picked him up off waivers and gave him four big league appearances before designated him themselves the following month. He cleared waivers and spent the rest of 2021 with their Triple-A side Tacoma Rainiers.
Zamora owns a 4.50 ERA over 22 MLB innings. The Dodgers will feel there is no downside in giving him a look in Spring Training, although there is a back-log of left-handed pitchers in the Dodgers bullpen.
Alex Vesia, Caleb Ferguson, Victor Gonzalez, Justin Bruihl, Garrett Cleavinger and Darien Nunez are already on the Los Angeles Dodgers 40-man roster.
