Western United gave their chances of winning the A-League minor premiership a major boost with a 2-0 win over Macarthur on Tuesday night.
Western are priced at 3/1 to win the minor premiership and the victory over the Bulls moved them to within two points of ladder leaders Melbourne City.
Exciting times
Aloisi only took charge ahead of the new season after Western missed out on finals in the last campaign and it has been a rapid turnaround for the club.
The Western boss says they are achieving what they set out to do at the start of the season and they are now entering the business end of the campaign.

"It's exciting to be where we are, that's for sure," Aloisi said. "We know that we're definitely going to finish top three now with the amount of points we have, and we're only two points behind City with a game in hand.
"At the beginning of pre-season, we said we want to be very competitive, that we want to be there fighting for something at the end of the season. We've given ourselves an opportunity now with one week to go and three games to play in that week."
Strong end to the season
Aloisi says there can be no let up over the remaining games. Even if they miss out on the premiers plate, Aloisi says it is important they go in to finals in good form.
"You don't want to be going into the finals that you're just scraping through and just getting there. We want to go there in good form," he said.
"At times tonight we needed to dig deep and we showed that resilience that we showed earlier this season."
