Montreal Canadiens @ Philadelphia Flyers prediction

The Philadelphia Flyers are one of the biggest surprises in the NHL this season. They are playing some great hockey under John Tortorella. Philly is in the first wild card spot with 46 points in 40 games.

The Flyers have lost seven of their last 10 games, but they've been very competitive during that stretch. Tortorella has turned the Flyers into one of the toughest teams to play against in the NHL.

Montreal is 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and 7-3 against the spread. The Canadiens have beaten some good teams over the last month which include wins against the Jets, Stars, Islanders, and Rangers.

The head-to-head matchup between these two teams has been close as each team has won five games in the last 10 matchups, and they’re tied in goals, 29-29, over that span.

Both the Flyers and Canadiens are playing in close games. They have historically been very evenly matched which will make this a great game.

Minnesota Wild @ Dallas Stars predictions

The Wild and Stars are facing each other for the second time this week after Dallas defeated Minnesota 4-0 on Monday night.

The Wild are dealing with a lot of injuries to some of their best players. Kirill Kaprizov, Jonas Brodin, Jared Spurgeon, and Filip Gustavsson are all out of the Minnesota lineup. It's hard for the Wild to string together wins against good teams like Dallas when they have $14.7M in dead cap space from the Suter and Parise buy-outs, as well as $26M in salary for injured players.

Dallas, on the other hand, has consistently been one of the best teams in the Western Conference this season. The Stars are 23-11-5, good for fourth place in the West.

Injuries are plaguing the Stars a little bit as well. Miro Heiskanen is out of the Stars lineup long-term and Jake Oettinger is day-to-day. But that didn't seem to be a big issue on Monday when they beat the Wild 4-0.

The Stars have dominated the head-to-head matchup against the Wild going 7-1-2 in their last 10 games, outscoring Minnesota 38-20 in those contests.

All signs point to the Stars having the advantage in tonight's game. They have the better, deeper lineup and are playing great hockey this season.

Vegas Golden Knights @ Colorado Avalanche predictions

We have the game of the night in Denver when the Golden Knights take on the Avalanche.

It's a battle of two of the Western Conference’s best teams, who are going in different directions.

The Colorado Avalanche are one of the hottest teams in the NHL going 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and 5-1 in their last six. They’re scoring a ton of goals right now. Their offense is led by Nathan MacKinnon who is having a Hart Trophy worthy season with 66 points in 41 games.

The one thing holding the Avalanche back is their goaltending. Both Alex Georgiev and Ivan Prosvetov have goals against averages above 3.0 and save percentages below .900.

Meanwhile, Vegas has been playing their worst hockey of the season. They are 3-7-0 in their last 10 games. Mark Stone and Jack Eichel have been playing well. Outside of those two there are not any standout performers over that time from an offensive perspective.

Vegas has the edge in the head-to-head matchup between these two teams with a 6-4 record, outscoring Colorado 31-20.

This should be a close game between two good teams. But I'll take the team with the better goaltending who are looking to get their season back on the rails.
