WATCH: Terrell Davis Reacts to Tom Brady's Retirement

Hall of Fame running back and Denver Broncos legend Terrell Davis pays homage to Tom Brady, who announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday.

Tom Brady's 23-year NFL career has come to a close. We think.

Brady announced his retirement on Wednesday via Twitter, putting a cap on a career that was undoubtedly the greatest in NFL history. Brady noted in the self-recorded video that he is done with football "for good."

"For 23 years, you could count on [Brady] being out there every Sunday, Monday, Thursday, or Saturday, it didn't matter what day of the week," Davis said. "He's done it for so long, he has been a staple of the NFL."

With Brady's video came plenty of speculation and jokes about whether or not the retirement will last, and for good reason. TB12 previously announced his retirement following the 2021-22 season via a lengthy statement. 40 days later, he unretired, and went on to play the 2022-23 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During Brady's decades-long career, which included 20 seasons with the New England Patriots and a final three with the Bucs, he surpassed all of his QB predecessors in most every statistical category.

The 45-year-old won seven NFL Championships (2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017, 2019 with NE, 2021 with TB), two more than any other player in league history. Brady retires as the league's all-time leader in passing yards (89,214) and touchdown passes (649), and has more championship game MVPs (five) than anyone else, too.

Despite the soon-to-be Hall of Famer saying he was done with football "for good," that just applies to playing the sport.

In May 2022, Brady agreed to a 10-year/$375 million deal with FOX to become their lead color analyst. That means the G.O.A.T. will be back on TVs across America very soon, but in a suit and tie rather than a helmet and pads.

"I played with a great one, I played with one of the best quarterbacks in this game [in John Elway]," Terrell Davis added. "But nobody played that position as well as Tom Brady."
