Western Sydney Wanderers have announced the signing of former Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas who has penned a three-year deal with the club.
Wanderers boss Mark Rudan will be looking to build a squad capable of making finals after replacing Carl Robinson midway through last season, and Thomas will add some quality and experience.
Denmark spell
The 30-year-old enjoyed a very successful stint with Melbourne Victory when winning two championships, one premiership and an Australian Cup.
He then made the switch to Danish SuperLiga club SonderjykE, where he has spent the last two seasons, making 56 appearances in the process.

Rudan is delighted to bring him back and believes he will be a valuable asset to the Wanderers as they look to climb the A-League ladder.
"Lawrence is a very experienced goalkeeper and comes back to the domestic league after honing his craft overseas for the last two years," Rudan said. "Having started his football career in Western Sydney, it is a very exciting moment for him to come back to where it all started.
"We know Lawrence's never-say-die attitude and his winning mentality is something that we are trying to build upon."
Thomas exited
Meanwhile Lawrence is delighted to have signed for the Wanderers and is keen to bring success to a club that has not played finals for the last five years.
"Western Sydney has an abundance of talented footballers and I believe the club has the responsibility to excite, motivate and inspire," Thomas said. "The only way to do that is to give the area the best team in the country to watch every week."
