Esports: Twist and Plessen join Finest

Simon "twist" Eliasson and Niclas "LesseN" Plessen have joined Finest, the organization announced on Twitter.

Team Finest are 7/4 to win their upcoming ESL Challenger League clash with SAW, who are 2/5 to come out best.

Swedes in the majority

The duo, which had recently played under the banner of Savage, will round out the Swedish-majority lineup after their failure to reach the last 16 in the open qualifiers for the PGL major Antwerp Europe RMR.

The Swedish duo will join the squad ahead of their debut at ESL Challenger League Season 40 Europe.

The pair played for Savage for over four months, with their best placement coming at the closed qualifiers for ESL Challenger Anaheim 2022, placing second and failing to reach the event after losing to DBL PONEY, now HEET, in the final match.

The news came after an unstable period for Finest, with the team seeing the departure of Robin "robiin" Sjoren, Joao "righi" Righi, and Martin "mar" Kuyumedjiev in the last three months.

A familiar name in the Swedish scene, twist has had a journeyman career, playing for several different Swedish teams over the years including fnatic, GODSENT, and NIP.

In his most recent run with Savage, the 27-year-old had less than a 1.00 rating, and will be looking to take the role of the veteran figure in a young squad.

PlesseN, meanwhile comes into Finest after a solid stint with his previous squad displaying good performances at Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 and Pinnacle Winter Series 2 Regionals.

The 23-year-old is not a rookie, having played for teams such as GamerLegion and Red Reserve following his departure from the fnatic Academy in 2017.

The new roster will make its debut at ESL Challenger League Season 40 Europe, playing SINNERS in the opening round of Group D.

Finest Roster:

Guy "anarkez" Trachtman

Kristjan "shokz" Jakobson

Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson

Simon "twist" Eliasson

Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen
