Antonio Brown spectacularly left the field during the third quarter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-24 win over New York Jets in the NFL on Sunday, effectively ending his career with the reigning Super Bowl champions.
The wide receiver appeared to boil over following an on-field disagreement and proceeded to remove his shoulder pads and jersey before exiting at the end zone and returning to the locker room.
Head coach Bruce Arians confirmed postgame that Brown would no longer be a Bucs player, a view backed up by star quarterback Tom Brady, with the 33-year-old's future now very much up in the air.

Keane leaves Ireland ahead of World Cup
Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane was no stranger to controversy during his playing career and he was certainly in the spotlight as the Republic of Ireland headed off for the 2002 World Cup in Japan.
The squad were stepping up their preparations for the tournament on the island of Saipan, but Keane was not happy with what he deemed an unprofessional approach from both the FAI and manager Mick McCarthy.
This resulted in Keane being sent home before the start of the tournament, and although there was talk of a reconciliation, he did not return to Japan, as Ireland made it through to the second round before exiting on penalties to Spain.
O'Sullivan concedes in York
Ronnie O'Sullivan is regarded as one of the greatest snooker players of all time, with the Rocket having won a record 20 Triple Crown events during his career, with six coming at the World Championship and seven apiece at the Masters and UK Championship.
It was at the 2006 UK Championship in York when O'Sullivan staged his infamous walk off during his quarter-final clash with another of the greats of the game, Stephen Hendry.
O'Sullivan was trailing 4-1 at the time in the first to nine contest and was certainly not at his best, as he followed a poor positional shot on the black by missing a red and opening up the table for his opponent.
However, Hendry did not get a chance to return to the table, as following his miss, O'Sullivan shook hands with the Scot and referee Jan Verhaas before exiting the arena and forfeiting the match.
Hendry, who went on to reach the final before losing to Peter Ebdon, was officially handed a 9-1 victory.
Don't mess with Estonia
It is not just individuals that have walked away from matches or tournaments, as sometimes entire teams have decided that not playing is the best course of action.
One such occasion came ahead of a World Cup qualifier between Estonia and Scotland in Tallinn in 1996.
FIFA insisted the kick-off time be brought forward as the quality of the floodlights at the Kadrioru Stadium were called into question.
This enraged the home side, who refused to turn up for the match at the new time, although that did not stop the referee from starting the contest before abandoning it after three seconds.
You may think that Scotland would have been awarded the victory, but they weren't, and the final laugh belonged to Estonia, who secured a goalless draw in the rearranged fixture.
Cheese, solar eclipses and missing goalposts
How can a match be postponed due to cheese I hear you ask? Well in September 2015 Frome Town's FA Cup qualifying round clash with Chippenham Town was called off due to the fixture clashing with the local cheese show.
The Frome Cheese Show attracts 10 times the attendance of that of the local football team and due to the town being engulfed with dairy lovers, the decision was made to reschedule the fixture.
Rescheduling was also required for Torquay United's League Cup first round tie with Portsmouth in 1999, as the local police did not have enough officers available to work at the match due to the influx of visitors to Devon for the first solar eclipse in 72 years.
However, perhaps the most bizarre postponement came on the opening day of the 2018-19 South West Peninsula Division One East season when Teignmouth were due to host Crediton United.
The hosts were unable to stage the fixture due to a delay in their new goalposts being delivered, and the match could not be switched to Crediton on account of a pre-booked function taking place at their ground - Non-League football at its finest.
