Daniel Sturridge is one of seven players to leave Perth Glory after his one-year contract with the club came to an end.
Elsewhere Nick Fitzgerald, Osama Malik and Darko Stanojevic have not had their contracts renewed, Jonathan Aspropotamitis has been granted an early release, while Josh Rawlins has joined Dutch side FC Utrecht.
Sturridge arrived at Glory ahead of the 2021/22 A-League campaign in a blaze of glory but unfortunately for everyone involved the move did not work out.
The former Liverpool striker had not played in 18 months, but at the age of 32, looked more than capable for still being a huge hit in the A-League if he could get and stay fit.

That was the issue. Sturridge struggled with injury and sickness and was not helped either by a disjointed season that saw Glory spend large amounts of time locked out of WA.
In the end he made just six appearances for the club, totalling 139 minutes and he will now look to get his career back on track elsewhere.
The news came as no real surprise and the exit when it was announced was very low key.
"Injuries unfortunately restricted Sturridge to just six appearances," was the only mention he got in the press release.
Glory also have to move on and rebuild after Ruben Zadkovich was confirmed as new head coach, while Andy Keogh has a huge role to play in getting new players on board.
Keogh retired at the end of last season and now has the role of head of recruitment.
