World Cup - Football: Serie A's Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham on England radar

Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have both benefitted from a season in Serie A and bet365 have cut them both to make the 2022 World Cup plane to Qatar after the pair were named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the June Nations League matches.

Tomori has just helped Milan win their first Scudetto since 2011 and we’ve seen enough in those impressive performances in Serie A to cut him from 4/1 into 6/4 to make the final cut for Qatar which could see the likes of Tyrone Mings nervously looking over their shoulders.

Abraham (7/4 into 5/4) is another former Chelsea player to shine in Italy this season, bagging 29 goals throughout the campaign, and if he continues in this kind of form then he could find himself being back-up to Harry Kane in the winter showpiece.

Jarrod Bowen, who was 10/1 for the World Cup squad back in December, is now into 10/11 after receiving his first senior call-up for his country after reaching double figures in both goals and assists – one of only three players to do so this season – for West Ham.

A move to Liverpool may be on the horizon, and if he can replicate his form at Anfield should the transfer go through, the 10/11 may well be shorter still in a few months’ time.

And with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho not showing their best form – the latter seemingly with much to do to impress Southgate – a spot in the England side may be there for the taking.

While England have a dearth of right-backs, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker, Reece James, James Justin, Kieran Trippier and others competing for two or three places, the left-back position may become available.

Leicester’s Justin can play left-back, but Southgate may want a natural left-footer there. Ben Chilwell is continuing his recovery from a serious knee injury, while Luke Shaw, outstanding at Euro 2020 a year ago, has struggled for form throughout the season.

Tyrick Mitchell may be in line for a call-up in the winter, having won Crystal Palace’s Young Player of the Year, following an impressive campaign which saw him named in the England squad in March, and can be backed at 6/1.

To Make Finals Squad

Jarrod Bowen - 10/11
Tammy Abraham - 5/4
Fikayo Tomori - 6/4
Tyrick Mitchell - 6/1
