Wallabies back-rower Pete Samu has committed his immediate future to Rugby Australia and the Brumbies by penning a one-year contract extension.
Australia are priced at 10/1 to win the 2023 Rugby World Cup and Samu now looks set to play a key role in the push for glory next year.
Locked in for two years
The 30-year-old is locked in until the end of 2023 and he says penning the contract extension was an easy decision to make for him and his family.
"Me and my family are really settled here, and the opportunity to stay another year - I didn't think twice," he told reporters. "I'm stoked and grateful for the opportunity to stay another year. This club means a lot to me and my family."

Meanwhile Wallabies coach Dave Rennie is also delighted to get the deal done and believes he will be a huge asset for his side over the next couple of years.
"His athleticism and speed are a point of difference across the backrow and we think his best footy lies ahead of him in the gold jersey," Rennie added.
Brumbies look to respond
The deal will also give the Brumbies a boost ahead of their Super Rugby Pacific round-two clash against Fijian Drua on Saturday afternoon.
They scraped to a 29-23 win over the Western Force in round one and captain Allan Alaalatoa is demanding an improvement.
"We need to improve a lot of areas, in defence and then mistakes," he said ahead of the game. "We turned over the ball too many times, that's gonna happen but if it does we need to be better at reacting and moving onto the next job."
