League of Legends outfit Royal Never Give Up have become the first ever team to win the Mid-Season Invitational on three occasions, beating T1 3-2 in the tournament's final.

Top two dominate the field

Royal Never Give Up from China and South Korean side T1 had been the standout sides in this year's Mid-Season Invitational with both having topped their respective groups with 6-0 win-loss records.

And that domination continued into the Rumble Stage, which Royal Never Give Up topped with eight wins from their ten matches and they were followed by T1 in second spot.

In the semi-finals, meanwhile, Royal Never Give Up thrashed Evil Geniuses 3-0 and T1 also recorded a clean sweep against G2 Esports.

"I have given my all for this victory."
