The Los Angeles Rams beat the Baltimore Ravens to the free agent signing of Pro Bowl linebacker Bobby Wagner to add another veteran impact player to their star-studded defence.
The Rams, who are 10/1 to repeat as Super Bowl winners next season, instantly fill the hole that emerged when Von Miller chose to join the Buffalo Bills.
Sean McVay already had two other 2021 Pro Bowl selections on his defence, with defensive tackle Aaron Donald and cornerback Jalen Ramsey while the Rams made an earlier splash in free agency by signing ex-Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson.
Wagner, who is from California, chose to stay in the NFC West to chase a Super Bowl ring - where he will face two tough divisional battles with his former team-mates at the Seattle Seahawks.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson even tried to put some pressure on the linebacker to move east, before Wagner's former Seahawks team-mate Richard Sherman broke the news of the LA move.
"The rich get richer! Lose future HOF @VonMiller and gain future HOF @Bwagz," he tweeted. "The @Ravens made a last min push but the Reigning champs @RamsNFL were too good to pass up."
Wagner in prime form
The durable Wagner has produced 10 consecutive 100-plus-tackle seasons and has twice led the league, while he is coming off a campaign in which he had a career-high 170 tackles.
The 31-year-old is getting a five-year, $50million deal in Los Angeles worth up to $65 million with incentives, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
